The International OCD Foundation does amazing work in OCD research, and awareness. Their mission is "to help all individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders to live full and productive lives. They work to increase access to effective treatment, end the stigma associated with mental health issues, and foster a community for those affected by OCD and the professionals who treat them."

If you ever need information about OCD and treatment go to iocdf.org for the most to date information. They have information for professionals treating OCD, parents, people with OCD, and anyone interested in learning more. One of my favorites is their recommended book list

I highly recommend checking them out and learning more about OCD and the resources around you.

Letters to OCD

Written by | Amy

Our youth program sees many different faces of OCD in our kiddos. For a majority their obsessive thoughts, rituals, and compulsions take up most of their life: taking away family, friends, play, school, sleep, joy, and the freedom to choose. It is painful to see kids who are so precious going through this struggle. Luckily we know how to help them! With exposure and response prevention therapy we see our kids make huge strides in winning the fight against OCD and gaining their freedom back.

Below is a letter to OCD written by one of our warriors who graduated from the youth program and continues to fight OCD like a champ.
